Amidst a polarized national climate, New York Times reporters have remained at the forefront of the cultural wars surrounding truth and the increasing spread of false narratives. As home to many of the technology companies navigating regulation of misinformation and the right to free speech, California is in many ways at the forefront of the issues that affect us not just here at home, but on a national and global scale.
During this event, we will hear from California-based Times journalists reporting on misinformation and disinformation, in a wide-ranging discussion on where things stand during this turbulent tie, what they’re observing in their reporting, and where we are headed.
The panel will feature New York Times journalists Sheera Frankel, Tiffany Hsu, Steven Lee Meters, and Stuart A. Thompson.
