Event Details
Public libraries, along with other American institutions, no longer operate alone. They do not provide services in silos. They work collaboratively to meet community needs and aspirations. At least that’s the intent. Now how is that done? How is that worked into an LSTA grant?
This one-hour webinar will offer: 1) guidance to identify CALL courses to help you develop community connectors and partners, 2) direct instruction on addressing these connections for your grant proposal, and 3) a little inspiration on why it matters.
Presenter Bio: Cathay Reta’s experience in adult literacy spans almost 40 years of projects on local, state and national levels. She has served as literacy coordinator for three public libraries, worked as training director for a former statewide nonprofit organization, and has provided consulting for several organizations. In the grant arena, she has written proposals which have been awarded from $500 to $200,000, with a collective total of more than $2 million.
