The State Library will be holding a virtual summit for the eBooks for All project on February 1st from 9:30 to 3:30 pm.  Staff at all levels are invited to participate, but this conversation and training will be most relevant for those that work in collection development and administration.  Those that work in marketing / promotion / outreach will also find some of the material to be helpful. Libraries not yet on the eBooks for All project are welcome to attend.

The purpose of the summit is to provide libraries with the tools and resources to move from onboarding of this project into implementation of the service for their communities. In that master goal, there are discrete goals as well:

• Learn how to use circulation data to better build and present collections for local communities.
• Build a California community of practice around a statewide eBook collection so that libraries can get better products and services from vendors and publishers.
• Learn about current and future California State Library eBook grant programs.
• Learn about other similar statewide efforts around the U.S.
