When segments of the community do not feel welcome in volunteer spaces, they may choose not to engage.

The Assessing Diversity and Equity in Volunteer Inclusion (ADEVI) project is a multi-faceted investigation of the diversity of volunteer engagement professionals and the equity journey of organizations they work in. The project's guiding principle is that organizations that are attuned to inclusiveness will be able to engage a more diverse cross-section of their communities.

ADEVI is a partnership between Arizona State University (ASU) and the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CCVA). The project is funded by AmeriCorps.

Join Isabella Sandoval-Ramirez, Liza Dyer, Morgan Green-Griffin and Faiza Venzant as they introduce you to the Equity in Action Toolkit. This field-building toolkit consists of resources to help leaders of volunteers apply an equity lens to the various aspects of their practice. It was created by over 25 CVAs (Certified in VolunteerAdministration) in the US and Canada.
