3-Week Online Course + Workshop | Live sessions: Thursdays, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 2025 at 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM
No library school? No problem. This course will cover the basics you need to succeed in your library.
This new, online course is designed to equip library staff who don’t have an MLS degree with the essential knowledge and skills needed to work in a library. We will cover foundational topics such as intellectual freedom, information literacy, and the basics of collection development, weeding, and cataloging.
This three-week course will include weekly live sessions from experts in the field as well as an opportunity to engage with and crowdsource issues asynchronously with peer cohorts from across the country. All sessions will be recorded and available for on-demand viewing.
