Program Description

Event Details

With budgets shrinking and communities trying harder to be eco-conscious, it is more important than ever to utilize our resources wisely. This webinar will provide learners with an introduction to three very common book construction issues that are endemic to the modern construction of books with flimsy paper covers and ineffective adhesives. The information will be presented in a way that any size library can benefit from and provides a sliding scale of alternative tools and materials for every budget.

By taking this webinar, participants will:

  • Understand the difference between library book mending and archival book repair.
  • Discover how to improve the strength of highly circulated library books so that they will have more circulations.
  • Learn how your library can be more sustainable and save money through relatively inexpensive, quick fixes for very common modern book problems.
