Join Hillary Ellis and Celeste Knight to learn more about the "Ready—Or Not" emergency preparedness project and how public libraries can participate. The online (Zoom) information session will offer a brief presentation with details on how libraries can benefit from a free on-site consultation from an emergency preparedness consultant. Attendees will find out how to sign up, what is involved in the consultation, and what the assessment report provides. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

If your library is interested in knowing more about protecting collections from natural and man-made disaster, as well as preparing staff for emergency response, the information session is a great way to get started. The “Ready – Or Not” project is funded by the State of California, administered by the California State Library.

Presenters:

Hillary Ellis leads the "Ready—or Not" Cultural Heritage Disaster Preparedness Project, an initiative to assess emergency preparedness at California organizations that care for cultural and historic resources (e.g., archives, libraries, museums, and tribal nations). In this role, Hillary supervises a state-wide team of consultants and conducts on-site emergency preparedness assessments.

Celeste Knight provides outreach and travel support for the "Ready—or Not" Cultural Heritage Disaster Preparedness Project, which provides emergency preparedness assessments to California organizations that care for cultural and historic resources.

These resources are supported by funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library.
