*Due to limited funding all library workers are limited to 2 course enrollments through CALL annually.
In this session, the instructor will cover:
- Strategies for communication to support and connect with people with different types of disabilities.
- Strategies for inclusive and welcoming customer service and direct interaction with people with disabilities.
- Accessible marketing and communication strategies.
The session will include breakout discussions and reflections posing different scenarios and strategizing how to address each example.
**This event will be hosted in Zoom. Automatic captions will be enabled for this event. This event will feature breakout rooms throughout. While the main room will be recorded, and registrants will receive access to the recording, breakout rooms will not be recorded.
Presenter:
Librarian, author, trainer, administrator, teacher, and consultant Renee Grassi is an advocate for equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in libraries, schools, and communities. As a neurodivergent librarian herself, Renee has worked in public libraries for nearly twenty years, developing award-winning library initiatives that welcome and support disabled residents and their families and caregivers.
