Join the Witkin State Law Library for a live Law Librarian Office Hour on Friday, June 6, at 12 PM!
You asked for it and we heard you! Learn how to research a particular type of legal question by watching a law librarian do so live! Part of our brand new “Office Hour” series, this program will focus on a particular research challenge that you, the viewer, are struggling with. For this session, we will focus on California legislative history research and resources that are available to you online. Want a say in what we cover? Submit research puzzles that have you stumped to csllaw@library.ca.gov (with the subject line: For the Office Hour) and then attend the session to see if we research your question live!
Presenter:
Garrett Shields is the senior librarian for the Witkin State Law Library with over eight years of experience, specializing in California legislative and regulatory research. Prior to working as a law librarian, he worked as a public reference librarian and in the Government Publications Section of the California State Library. He enjoys assisting library patrons looking for a needle in a legal haystack and helping them navigate the varied and voluminous publications relating to California’s legal history.
Please note: Any questions asked may be presented live and recorded but any personal information will be removed.
