In today’s diverse communities, it’s essential for libraries to ensure their services, programs, and collections reflect the needs of all patrons. In this webinar, Vishakha Ramakrishnan (Consultant, Peridot Projects) will guide you through the process of conducting culturally responsive needs assessments, an invaluable tool for understanding and addressing the unique needs of your community. Through this webinar, you will gain practical skills to design and implement needs assessments that can help drive program development, improve services, and advocate for more inclusive libraries. Presenter Bio: Vishakha Ramakrishnan (MPH) is a highly experienced program evaluator and consultant, specializing in building evaluation capacity for mission-driven organizations. She has supported diverse sectors, including government, nonprofit, tech, and education, with a particular focus on serving underserved communities. Vishakha holds a Master’s in Public Health from Tufts University, and most recently served as an evaluation specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She has since led numerous evaluation and capacity-building initiatives as an independent consultant with her firm Peridot Projects, supporting organizations to make data-driven decisions that align with their strategic goals. Vishakha is committed to fostering collaboration and empowerment through her work, creating impactful, inclusive, and sustainable change.
