DESCRIPTION: Register hereJoin us in celebrating the final week of “Tel
l Clyfford I Said ‘Hi’”: An Exhibition Curated by Children of the Co
lville Confederated Tribes, on display at the Clyfford Still Museum in Den
ver, Colorado. Co-curated with young people (ages 3 to 14) from the Colvil
le Confederated Tribes in Washington State, the exhibition demonstrates bo
th the potential of intergenerational collaboration and its impact on the
art world and tribal community. In this episode, we explore how Clyfford S
till Museum staff developed a partnership with Colville children and famil
ies to curate an exhibition of Clyfford Still’s depictions of their ance
stors and their landscape of eastern Washington. We will talk about the wa
ys in which adult “experts” and children can share authority, creating
a space for children to express insights, make decisions about which art
to display, decide what themes to present, and ultimately create lifelong
memories. These memories are now embedded in their experiences, inspiring
connections to art, history, awareness, and development of voice and respo
nsibility.Speakers: Nicole CromartieDirector of Learning and Engagement,
